In addition to the launch of the new album format, the multi-layered promotion also will include a variety of added value and content to be released via BobMarley.com. Four thousand limited-edition, reusable USB memory sticks feature not only the 10 original songs on Exodus but also include audio and video content such as three video tracks recorded at London's Rainbow Theatre in June 1977, right before Exodus started flying off the shelves.

Bob Marley's Exodus arrived in record stores 30 years ago and was far ahead of its time as a statement of peace, love and defiance in the face of racial and national oppression. Plus, the album, which came out June 3, 1977, was packed with infectious hit reggae songs that still resonate to this day worldwide.

Devout followers of Bob's music and legacy can rejoice today, because a new, exclusive, commemorative edition of Exodus is available June 4 in fitting tribute to the 30th anniversary of its original release. And what Time magazine called the "best album of the 20th century" has been updated with technological advances that make it a pioneer of sorts for the music industry in the 21st century.

Starting today, limited-edition copies of the recording will be available in a USB memory stick on Bob Marley's official website, BobMarley.com. The event marks the very first artist-specific album to be released using this groundbreaking format.

Bob recorded Exodus while in exile in London in 1977 after escaping an assassination attempt in Jamaica. The sessions, which produced timeless Marley classics such as "Jamming," "Waiting In Vain," "Three Little Birds" and the ubiquitous, legendary "One Love," marked a creative and musical high point for Bob, who shot to superstardom after the album's historic release. It's only fitting that 30 years later, with the album still as important and meaningful as it ever was, that we pay tribute to Exodus once again.
