Stephen to speak at 'Live at the Rainbow' premiere
Special Q & A June 19 at London's Odeon Covent Garden
By Doug Miller / StephenMarleyMusic.com
Stephen Marley is an accomplished musician and live performer, and it's no secret that he learned a lot of what he knows from his father, Bob. And now, 30 years after it originally happened, Stephen will be on hand when a classic film chronicling one of Bob's most legendary concerts is released in high-definition and in 5.1 surround sound.

Fans in the U.K. will have yet another reason to celebrate the life and music of Bob Marley on June 19 and June 26 at the Odeon Covent Garden Theatre in London, when "Bob Marley Live at the Rainbow" is premiered in these new formats.

Stephen, whose debut solo album, Mind Control, has taken the reggae charts by storm since its release in April, will host a special Q and A after the show on the 19th (his segment will be rebroadacast on the 26th) and will help give away a special-edition Bob Marley Gibson guitar. A portion of the event's proceeds will be donated to the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity.

The Rainbow Theatre show, also in London, took place in June 1977, the same month that saw Bob release what many consider to be his masterwork of an album, Exodus. Bob had been in self-imposed "exile" in London after he and his wife, Rita, survived an assassination attempt in Jamaica.

This June's theatrical events will continue the following week at select Odeon theatres throughout the U.K. Tickets and event info can be found by visiting www.DandEentertainment.com.
